plexiglass picture frames,Online framers most often use acrylic to reduce the possibility of damage during delivery. If glass is used online, it could create issues with having to replace excessive amounts of damaged product, as well as the possible liability issue; glass is sharp and dangerous when shattered.

Acrylic can actually be more expensive than glass, but offers many advantages.

Acrylic Glass comes in many forms, qualities and names. It’s also known as plexiglass or perspex.

We use a high quality form of acrylic for our framing, below are some of the key features.

Clear Perspex:

Extremely durable, reduced risk of breakage in transit.

Lighter, easier to hang.

Easier to handle (less risk of breakage when inserting image).

94% UV Resistant, protects prints from fading.

No visible difference between acrylic and glass.

Framing grade quality, will not fade or become cloudy.

Non-Reflective Perspex:

Extremely durable, reduced risk of breakage in transit.

Lighter, easier to hang.

Easier to handle (less risk of breakage when inserting image).

99% UV Resistant, protects prints from fading, conservation grade protection.

Perspex has matte coating to reduce reflections and glare, it diffuses the light rather than reflect it.

Framing grade quality, will not fade or become cloudy.

Please note that Non-Reflective Perspex should not be used when there is a depth of more than 3mm between the perspex and the image.
