What are the uses of acrylic? What are the specific scope of application? I believe that this is the knowledge that most of the consumers who need to buy Acrylic products are eager to learn. Let’s take you to know what are the uses of acrylic and its specific scope of application:
In recent years, with the continuous improvement of machine equipment and processing technology, the quality and quantity of acrylic handicraft products are increasing, and the application range is also increasingly wide. Especially with the progress of science and technology, acrylic handicraft products have become the light guide material of liquid crystal display (LCD).
Use of acrylic:
1. Acrylic products include acrylic board, acrylic plastic granule, acrylic light box, signboard, acrylic bathtub, acrylic artificial marble, acrylic resin, acrylic (latex) paint, acrylic adhesive and so on. The acrylic products commonly seen by people are acrylic products which are made of raw materials such as acrylic particles, plates or resins through various processing methods and assembled with various materials and functional parts.
2. As for acrylic fiber, acrylic cotton, acrylic yarn, acrylic nylon, etc., which are commonly heard, refer to the man-made fiber polymerized from acrylic acid, which is not related to acrylic products.
Among them, the acrylic plate is often referred to as polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) plate, which is polymerized from “methyl methacrylate monomer (MMA)”. Or it is extruded from acrylic particles by a extruder.
3. In the past, the board was commonly known as plexiglass. Acrylic comes from English acrylic, which means PMMA plate made of MMA of organic compounds, with transparency and light transmittance similar to that of glass.
All plates made of transparent plastics such as PS, PC or poor recycled MMA are collectively referred to as plexiglass. For the purpose of separation, PMMA boards made of high-quality pure MMA are all called acrylic boards, which are separated from ordinary plexiglass boards.
